Javanese farmers
Right close to Mount Bromo, I booked a hostel and stayed. One day, I decided to walk, and there they were: tomatoes on the ground, the masters working.
I did not understand their language, neither did they understand mine. But we understood each other enough, and they agreed I could follow them. For the next few hours, I was lost in time.
They carved my number on the ground, in the dust.
They gave me some tomatoes to eat, and memories to live on. Beautiful Java.
